Recalled product includes eligible Kawasaki FE, FH, FJ, FR, FS and FX series engines installed to riding lawn mowers, wide-area walk-behind lawn mowers and utility vehicles sold nationwide between October 2011 and August 2012. Eligible engine serial number and fuel filter manufacturing date ranges are included in table at the end of this alert. The engine model and serial number is located on the engine blower housing as shown below. The fuel filter manufacturing date is located on the fuel filter as shown below. Only engines between the listed serial numbers with fuel filters manufactured between the eligible date codes are part of this recall.

Fuel filters were also sold separately and included in tune-up kits manufactured between October 2011 and August 2012. Eligible fuel filters are identified by the manufacturing date code listed in the table at the end of this recall alert.

Hazard: The fuel filter, installed between the fuel tank and fuel pump of select applications may leak. Leaking fuel increases the chance of fire on general purpose engine applications.
